As far as the results on the scoreboard went, the 2025 preseason wasn't exactly an enjoyable one for the Carolina Panthers. And unfortunately, this is the part where the lead-up to the new campaign becomes even less fun.

Such is the latest cut in the Panthers’ crowded receiver room, which theoretically has eight players vying for five to seven spots. Those eight: Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn Jr., David Moore and Brycen Tremayne. Rookie Jacolby George was cut Monday, too.

The Carolina Panthers have made a key decision in their kicking competition. But it may not be the final one. The team announced Monday that it cut NFL journeyman Matthew Wright from its roster. This leaves Ryan Fitzgerald as the team’s only kicker at the moment.
