McDonald’s is testing dirty soda, flavored cold brew and other drinks from its shuttered spinoff CosMc's at 500 locations in an attempt to appeal to Gen Z.
Taco Bell has recently jumped on the trend with its line of fruity Refresca drinks, while KFC has launched a new “dirty soda” collaboration with Mountain Dew and Burger King has introduced a Frozen Cotton Candy drink for the summer.
The chain announced it will roll out a line of crafted beverages at about 500 McDonald’s restaurants in the coming weeks. Among the lineup will be a Toasted Vanilla Frappe, Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, Sprite Lunar Splash, Popping Tropic Refresher and Creamy Vanilla Cold Brew. Other drinks are also planned, McDonald’s officials said.
