EBERECHI EZE could still play in Crystal Palace’s European opener - as his proposed move to Tottenham drags on. Spurs are pushing hard to sign the England star, 27. And while it is believed a deal worth in the region of £60million is close, it is understood there remains a sticking point over payment conditions.
Tottenham are hoping to make three more signings before the end of the window, as they push to complete a deal for Eberechi Eze. The focus for now is on wrapping up a move for the Crystal Palace star, but Spurs are also looking to add a winger and another centre-back to Thomas Frank's squad this summer.
Romero joined Spurs from Juventus in summer 2021, in a deal worth €55million (£47.4m; $64.3m at current rates), and has been a mainstay at the heart of defence under former head coaches Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou.
