Google announced its own version of “MagSafe” called PixelSnap, which allows magnetic accessories to work with the newly launched Pixel 10 series of devices. The company’s announcement comes nearly five years after Apple announced its own slew of magnetic accessories with the iPhone 12 in 2020.

Pixelsnap is Google's first-party take on the Qi2 magnetic wireless charging standard, and it's a worthy match for Apple's popular MagSafe ecosystem.

Google employs the Qi2 wireless charging standard for the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro, which charge at up to 15W. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is Qi2.2 certified and charges at up to 25W wirelessly. Since the Pixelsnap chargers use Qi 2, they can also charge non-Pixelsnap devices.
