Olympic gold medal-winning boxer Imane Khelif looks almost unrecognisable after unveiling a dramatic new look this week. The Algerian star was cleared to compete at the Paris 2024 Summer Games despite the International Boxing Association (IBA) previously disqualifying both her and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting from the 2023 World Championships.
Khelif and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting were in the spotlight at the Paris Olympics last year, where their eligibility was put in the spotlight, as they had been disqualified for the 2023 World C’ships. The IBA had disqualified them, citing that sex chromosome tests had ruled them ineligible.
