The Miami Dolphins are interested in adding a veteran pass rusher to the roster. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz,

The Dolphins have been hit with an injury bug in training camp which continued this past weekend in a preseason tie with the Chicago Bears.

Meeting with reporters as the team begins preparing for their second exhibition game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday afternoon, Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel provided injury updates on key players.

Several skirmishes broke out between the Dolphins and Bears during their joint practice on Friday, at least one of which Miami coach Mike McDaniel jumped in the middle of in an effort to break up the fracas.

There could be some extra heat in Miami on Mike McDaniel. The Dolphins (6-7) are on the outside of the playoffs entering a critical Week 15 road game against the AFC South-leading Texans (8-5).

That includes FS1’s Colin Cowherd. On Thursday’s episode of The Herd, the outspoken sportscaster said the Dolphins are directionless — and that it starts at the top with head coach Mike McDaniel, who he calls “the snarky hipster.”
