Wembanyama posted a Spurs franchise record for most points in a season opener with his 40-piece against the Mavericks; he also grabbed 15 boards and shot 71.4% in that 125-92 rout over Dallas on Oct. 22. He became just the sixth player in NBA history to record such a stat line in any regular season game.
While Wembanyama is the clear franchise superstar, he has plenty of help and youth around him. One player emerging as an elite weapon is rookie Dylan Harper. The point guard, although just 19 years old, is showing he can be a long-term piece for San Antonio next to Wembanyama.
The Miami Heat face the San Antonio Spurs Thursday at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
