Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard is honoring law enforcement and local residents for their heroic actions over the past year. More than 300 people were honored.

The enhancement millage would be a 1.5-mill levy over six years that would generate $125 million in its first year. Over the six years it would generate an average of $781 per pupil for all students enrolled in public schools, public academies and charter schools.

Part of a major road in Oakland County will close down for two months, according to road officials.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for a man facing criminal charges for allegedly damaging license plate readers used by police in Waterford — including one that reportedly helped to identify him as the suspect.
