Up to now, all 11 Starship launches have taken place from SpaceX’s Starbase site in southern Texas, but soon, additional Starship flights will take place a thousand miles to the east at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Starship V3 set to be about five feet taller and will feature larger propellant tanks to boost lifting capacity. But the real stuff is what's under the hood.

Starship’s latest flight was another big success. SpaceX carried out several in-flight demonstrations to prepare for the launch of the rocket’s upgraded version. The second-generation prototype flew on a suborbital trajectory, similar to its previous missions, and deployed eight Starlink simulators.

The ice giants remain some of the most interesting places to explore in the solar system. Uranus in particular has drawn a lot of interest lately, especially after the 2022 Decadal Survey from the National Academies named it as the highest priority destination.

Several Moon lander concepts were proposed and trialled during NASA's initial application period for Artemis III. One was the Dynetics HLS ALPACA lander, which would have been cheaper and simpler than Starship or Blue Origin's alternative while requiring fewer refuel launches.

NASA's acting chief said earlier this week that he intends to reopen the contract for the Artemis III lander that will return humans to the lunar surface.
