The Trump administration is reportedly considering having the US government take a stake in Intel, a company that was once one of America’s most important tech giants but which has since fallen on hard times.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency guidance, July 18, 2025: "USCIS has announced that it has received enough petitions to meet the congressionally mandated 65,000 H-1B visa regular cap and the 20,000 H-1B visa U.S. advanced degree exemption, also known as the master's cap, for fiscal year 2026."

The Trump administration is reportedly in discussions with Intel Corp. about the possibility of the U.S. government acquiring a stake in the company.
