The latest forecast puts Central Park at 12 inches of snow, and that’s still the highest snowfall seen there in several years. The last time New York’s weather station in the park saw more than a foot of snow from a single storm was in 2021.

The storm will bring heavy snow and “crippling” ice impacts to more than 170 million people across the country.

Winter storm warnings have been issued for 16 New Jersey counties Friday afternoon, with a massive storm expected to dump as much as 12 to 18 inches of snow in many areas of the state and bring a dangerous coating of ice to others.
