The Mother of Baby Abandoned in Midtown NYC Subway Station Charged with Endangering a Child
The mother of an infant abandoned in a midtown Manhattan subway station has been charged with endangerment of a child.
The girl was discovered Monday morning in a passageway at the 34th Street-Penn Station subway stop during the typically crowded morning rush hour.
A clip released by the NYPD Tuesday shows the woman holding a bundle wrapped in white cloths in her arms as she walks down the sidewalk near 7th Avenue and 34th Street in Midtown — not far from where the baby was discovered at the 34th Street-Penn Station. She was wearing pink pants, a red headscarf and glasses, the video shows.
