More than 100 new fathers aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln got to meet their children for the first time as the aircraft carrier reached home port Thursday.

After 321 days at sea, the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier (CVN-72) returned to San Diego, with its island superstructure showing rows of silhouettes of ships, drones, and other targets reportedly destroyed during Operation Epic Fury.

The past—and lessons learned from visionary Abraham Lincoln and the Industrial Revolution—may be our best window into our future.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who visited the carrier a day before the ship reached shore, announced the award to the 5,000 sailors aboard the Lincoln.
