Alaska Airlines says it is grounding its planes because of an information technology outage. The company said in a social media post on X Thursday that it is imposing a “temporary ground stop.”
Alaska Airlines grounded all flights Thursday afternoon amid an information technology outage. The airline said Thursday around 4:20 p.m. that it was “experiencing an IT outage affecting operations,” and that “a temporary ground stop is in place.”
"Alaska Airlines is experiencing an IT outage affecting operations. A temporary ground stop is in place. We apologize for the inconvenience," Alaska Airlines said in a statement issued on social media.
