Photos: Storms sweep through NE Ohio, causing wind, hail damage
Severe storms swept across Northeast Ohio on Wednesday afternoon, bringing powerful winds, downpours and large hail that caused damage throughout the region.
With wind speeds near 70 miles per hour reported in the county by the National Weather Service, the timeline for repairing damage from last Tuesday’s storm is unclear. NWS Meteorologist Jim Sullivan
A preliminary storm report from the National Weather Service reports wind damage about three miles southeast of Camdenton near the airport. The storm blew through the area just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A building by the airport sustained roof damage.
Video from the area showed damage to Osawatomie High School, along with additional impacts to buildings in the downtown area.
