Carnival guests can no longer donate items to auction off for St. Jude, but the cruise line remains committed to the charity.

It just got a little easier to leave Alabama—just for a vacation, of course!Carnival Cruise Line has announced it is returning to Mobile with year-round cruises and longer itineraries. That means Southerners dreaming of a vacation at sea no longer need to tack on a trip to Florida or New Orleans to set sail.

The Carnival Valor will arrive at the Alabama port for year-round cruising on May 15, 2027. The Valor will be the first Conquest-class ship to homeport in Mobile and is an 856-passenger capacity increase from the Carnival Spirit, which currently sails from Mobile.
