A suspect is dead after a car drove into a building at Temple Israel, a synagogue containing a school, in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, a federal law enforcement official briefed on the incident told CNN.

The suspect, who was not identified, drove down a hallway at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Mich., before being engaged by temple security, authorities said.
