Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill and Republican nominee Jack Ciattarelli went head-to-head on Wednesday night in their final debate before New Jerseyans decide which of them will serve as the state's next governor. Political analyst Steve Adubato joined Good Day New York with reaction.
The race for governor between Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill is the main contest. Early in-person voting begins Oct. 25.
While attention has been largely paid to the competitive race for New Jersey governor, Garden State voters should also know the entire General Assembly is up for grabs in November's general election. All 80 seats in the Legislature's lower chamber will be on the ballot. The current breakdown of the Assembly is 52 Democrats and 28 Republicans.
Eligible New Jersey residents who want to cast ballots for the state's next governor must register by Tuesday.
