Microsoft announced that the Paint 3D graphics app will be discontinued later this year and removed from the Microsoft Store in November.
Microsoft is quietly retiring its Paint 3D Windows app. The app, which was launched in 2016, will no longer receive updates and will be removed from the Microsoft Store on November 4.
Paint 3D launched in 2017 with the Windows 10 Creators Update. It combined Microsoft Paint and 3D Builder applications to create a hybrid 2D-3D editing experience.
Krita is a free and open source application designed for digital painting, 2D animation, and image editing. Originally designed for Linux, Krita has also been available for Windows since 2014.
