Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Walz has announced he is dropping his re-election bid and will not seek a third term this coming November amid widespread fraud allegations within the state.

For a fleeting moment, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was on top of the political world. It was the summer of 2024, and Walz had become the the unlikely Democratic vice presidential nominee alongside Kamala Harris after signing a sweeping progressive agenda into law in Minnesota.

“We’re going to come to you, Gov. Newsom, and we’re going to arrest every single individual that has ties to this kind of stealing of taxpayer dollars, and we will hold them accountable,” Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, said on Tuesday in an interview on Fox News.
