The US has pressured Ukraine to withdraw its European-backed U.N. resolution in favor of an American proposal that does not mention Moscow’s invasion, a US official and a European diplomat said.

The United States wanted the resolution replaced with a toned-down version that felt overly sympathetic to Russia, an official said.
