The San Francisco Giants are finalizing a deal with a Tennessee college baseball coach to become the team's next manager, following last month's firing of Bob Melvin, according to a report from ESPN....

Tony Vitello has been hired as the manager of the San Francisco Giants after the most successful run in Tennessee baseball history.

"I'm incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity," Vitello said in a statement.

While the Tennessee Volunteers went 61-39 across 100 simulations against the Kentucky Wildcats, six of those wins were overtime nailbiters that could have gone either way.
