Chloe Kim's incredible run atop the Olympic women's snowboard halfpipe world came to a dramatic end Thursday as 17-year-old Korean Gaon Choi -- who has called Kim her idol and mentor -- pulled off a stunning win amid snowy conditions at the Livigno Snow Park.

Now, the U.S. turns its focus on achieving the ultimate goal, winning the gold medal for a third time in women’s hockey, and the first since 2018. The team has made it to the semifinals in each of the first seven Olympic tournaments.

The U.S. turned up the heat right from the opening puck drop of the second period, and it was all Team USA in the final 40 minutes. The Americans had the Latvians running around in their own zone for the entire second period, and Brock Nelson managed to bury a couple of goals.
