The U.S. has carried out several strikes on alleged drug trafficking boats in the area since September that has killed dozens.
It’s at least the sixth such vessel targeted by Trump since early September. The president has ordered attacks on suspected narcotics boats as part of a campaign against “narco-terrorists” that has killed at least 27 people so far, not including the latest reported attack.

At 12:01 p.m., the fire department was dispatched to a report of an overturned boat at the mouth of the harbor and a person in the water, according to a social media post from the department. A rescue boat was quickly in the water and located the boat. Maine Marine Patrol assisted the York Fire Department in this rescue.
