Hurricane Erin churned off the East Coast Thursday, sending powerful waves and gusty winds toward beaches in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
On Thursday, state leaders, community members, and hospital staff broke ground on the new Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, which will replace the decades-old facility in Smyrna.
According to police, Jaliel Ali-Johnson escaped custody while being transported by Pennsylvania State Constables to George Hill Correctional Facility.
Check cameras on Coastal Highway between Dewey and Bethany beaches for flooding concerns. Cameras on and around the Charles W. Cullen Bridge over the Indian River Inlet have beach and bay views. There's also a good view of the Delaware Bay on Prime Hook Road, north of Broadkill Beach.
