George Springer resides in quite the place in MLB history. Anytime you can be second in a statistic in the history of baseball, you're probably doing something right. And that's where Springer sits in leadoff home runs.

All of the scoring in the contest happened in the opening frame as the Jays drew first blood courtesy of George Springer's solo shot to left field. The Pirates then immediately replied in the next half inning through Tommy Pham's two-RBI double.

In the bottom of the third, George Springer hits a solo home run for the Bison. Springer currently with the squad as he works his way back to the Blue Jays roster. That was all the offense on the night as the Bison defeat the IronPigs, 2-0.

George Springer went deep and Shane Bieber had another strong outing as both made rehab appearances for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Friday. Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters earlier on Friday that Springer is likely to be in the Major League lineup on Saturday.
