Donovan Peoples-Jones likely needed a tremendously strong late push just to make the Saints roster.

On Wednesday afternoon, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football was the first to report that the Saints have agreed to a trade to acquire wide receiver Devaughn Vele from the Denver Broncos.

Vele, with 55 targets, had the fourth-best receiving success rate in that group (63.6), trailing only Tee Higgins (64.2), Amon-Ra St. Brown (70.2), and Chris Godwin (72.6).
