The NBA Sixth Man of the Year will have to carry the Celtics more without superstar Jayson Tatum. His wife Emma Pritchard is ready with insane boots.
For the first time since the 2013-14 season, the Boston Celtics have opened their campaign with three straight losses. Their latest setback, a 119-113 defeat to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, has left the team searching for answers and perspective after a surprisingly sluggish start.
The Boston Celtics won’t be the worst team in the NBA this year, but they’re certainly far removed from the lofty heights of their 2024 championship run. The team opened their 2025-26 campaign with a 117-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at home that culminated in one of the closest endgames possible in the sport.
As the Cavaliers (3-1) head to Boston, they can beat this Celtics team easily this year. Last season when Boston had Jayson Tatum, Cleveland split the series. This go around, they have lost Jayson Tatum for most of the regular season due to his achilles injury. With no Tatum, it makes things much easier.
The Boston Celtics were struggling to start the season. Still, Joe Mazzulla found the perfect way to wake his boys up, hilariously using DeAndre Jordan as an example. Jordan, who recently signed with the New Orleans Pelicans, got off an easy putback dunk over the Celtics' defense in the first half, causing Mazzulla to call out his team's effort.
The Celtics are 0-3 to start a season for the first time since 2013-14, which is also the last time they missed the playoffs.
