Earlier this year, Disney announced it would bring the original Star Wars film, later dubbed Episode IV: A New Hope, back to theaters for the film's 50th anniversary in 2027. But it looks like we'll be seeing it a little earlier than we originally thought, on February 19, 2027.

Star Wars will return to theaters "everywhere" on Feb. 19, 2027, for a limited time, Lucasfilm said in a post on the official website.

F ifty years ago, theaters welcomed a movie that changed culture forever, a movie that combined multiple genres into one unique space opera, a movie that was not called “Episode IV” or “A New Hope.” That movie was called Star Wars and it’s coming back to theaters.
