Person dies after fire in west Las Vegas home
LAS VEGAS ( FOX5) — One person died in an early morning fire in west Las Vegas. According to a release, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the 6000 block of Carmen Boulevard, near Jones Avenue and Vegas Drive, after reports of smoke coming from the bedroom window of a home.
The crash, which officials said was on Flamingo Road and Burnham Avenue, just west of Eastern Avenue in southeast Las Vegas, occurred just after 9:45 a.m. The crash has blocked lanes in both directions on the street. Officials advise commuters to avoid the area.
