Lisandro Martínez has been a regular name in Lionel Scaloni's call-ups. He was part of the world champions in Qatar 2022 and the corresponding Copa América tournaments in 2021 and 2024. In total, he played 26 matches and scored a goal in the quarter-finals against Ecuador last year, in the continental tournament.

Lisandro Martinez has not played for Manchester United since February but is set to rejoin his team-mates in training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
