Phoenix recently pulled out of settlement talks in a lawsuit brought by a woman who a judge said was wrongly charged in the death of a police officer.

The incident occurred at Maryvale High School, officials said. Officers responded to the school around 11 a.m. to a call for a stabbing, Phoenix police said.

The shooting happened after police responded to a report of trespassing at the restaurant early Aug. 19, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
