Gandhi took a pot shot at the corporate control over Mumbai’s land and resources, specifically targeting Adani’s involvement in the redevelopment of Dharavi. He warned that such corporate domination could drastically change the city's character and harm public welfare.

Addressing the Dharavi redevelopment scheme in Mumbai, Gandhi alleged that the BJP had “twisted the political machinery” to favor industrialist Gautam Adani.
