A free art installation in Waikiki will honor the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi laid a wreath during the ceremony in Hiroshima and was the only elected U.S. official among more than 200 dignitaries and representatives present.
