South Carolina came back from down five runs in extra innings to defeat South Dakota in the Little League World Series.
Facing elimination at the Little League World Series on Wednesday night, South Carolina appeared to be done. But the team from the Columbia suburb of Irmo didn't quit after giving up five runs to South Dakota in the top of the extra seventh inning to dig a 6-1 deficit.
While the Summerlin South All-Stars have now entered the losers bracket after falling to Connecticut on Wednesday, there is still hope for the Mountain region reps.

The 2025 Little League World Series is underway. Eight teams continue their quest to win it all in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday in the annual summer tournament. A new winner will be crowned in 2025 after last year's champion, Lake Mary, Florida, was eliminated in the regional round.
