Scattered snow showers will return to Colorado’s mountains on Monday and the storm is forecast to move into the Denver area on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. This wave of snow will be short and not much is expected to stick, NWS forecasters said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook.

Temperatures will still surge to the 40s and 50s. A cold front will push through Colorado Monday night into Tuesday. This will bring a surge of cold air and snow showers to the state for the day on Tuesday.

Sunday night will stay mainly clear and seasonally cool, ahead of a slight warming trend on Monday. But FOX31 Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Liz McGiffin is also eyeing a chance for snow on Tuesday.
