Wess Roley, 20, was identified as the Idaho shooter by Bob Norris, the sheriff of Kootenai County, which is in northern Idaho just west of Spokane.

Wess Roley once lived in Phoenix, with some of his family still living in the area, according to court records and social media posts.

Authorities in Idaho have identified a former Phoenix resident as the 20-year-old man suspected of setting a wildfire on Sunday and then killing two firefighters from a sniper position.
