On July 23, the Anhui fire rescue team evacuated those trapped at the Zhongyuan Institute of Science and Technology in Zhengzhou City, #Henan Province. A boy wading through floodwaters embraced a firefighter and wept in his arms. The boy is only 17 years old and hails from Gansu Province. Passing by Zhengzhou, the boy was stranded by heavy rains. As record floods swallowed large parts of Sydney earlier this year, the NSW Police Aviation Command was tasked with helping to search for and rescue those stranded. In the space of only two hours on March 23, 2021, the crew of PolAir 5 rescued 15 people trapped by the floods, in one the busiest days for the Command this year.
