Trout Stocking update: Fisheries Seasonal Danielle helped to stock 40 very large (10-12 pound) Seeforellen strain Brown Trout into Highland Lake today (1/14). The ice around the state boat ramp was 4 inches thick. As ice thickness can vary extreme caution is advised until the thickness increases a bit. Atlantic Salmon Stocking Update: Today Atlantic Salmon were stocked into the Naugatuck River ATS Management Area from Campville to Beacon Falls. The Fishery is Catch and Release only until 12/15 with the use of a single fly or an artificial lure with a single free swinging hook required to fish.
