May 1st marked the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Mission San Antonio de Valero. The mission changed locations a few times after its founding and later became known as The Alamo. The pivotal battle there, which inspired the cry to “Remember the Alamo!” took place years later, from Feb 23-March 6 1836. We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused. | HISTORY
