Chatham County was proud to stand alongside Live Oak Public Libraries to celebrate the opening of the Carnegie Library Heritage Center last Friday. The reimagined Carnegie Library Heritage Center will protect and preserve Savannah’s rich tapestry of Black History through museum-quality exhibits, oral history recordings, and interactive displays. In celebration of the National Day of Racial Healing, the Chatham County Parks & Recreation Department partnered with the Greenbriar Gym to present a powerful and uplifting evening of culture, creativity, and community connection. Designed to honor the spirit of unity and reflection, the event brought together local artists and performers whose talents highlighted the richness of cultural diversity within the community. Attendees experienced an engaging lineup of performances featuring Sankofa D
