Broccoli is actually a big bunch of unopened flowers! 🌼 It might look like a tiny tree, but it’s technically the flowering top of a cabbage plant. In Italian, “broccoli” means “the flowering crest of a cabbage.” 🇮🇹 If left to grow, those tight green florets would eventually bloom into a field of small yellow flowers 🌼💛 and then go to seed
