According to police, it happened just before 5 AM on Memorial near 31st. Police say the man was traveling North on Memorial, exited the roadway up onto the sidewalk and crashed into a utility pole. Firefighters had to cut the man out of the car using the jaws of life. The driver, who was only person in the car, was rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead minutes after arrival. Police say the exact reason for the crash isn’t known at this time, but it appears speed did play a factor. #tuls
